My story
I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in September 2018. Since my diagnosis, it's been an uphill battle trying to navigate through life with a condition like mine. From counting carbs, to using insulin, to watching my blood sugar levels constantly going up and down; eight years on, it's still a lot to take in.
I know first-hand just how scary and isolating diabetes can be. That's why I'm stepping up for Diabetes UK this summer. Since 1934, Diabetes UK have made it their mission to help people like me have a better quality of life with diabetes, whether through research for life-changing treatments, 24/7 support, and providing access to round the clock information. By reaching One Million steps, I hope I can help Diabetes UK continue their mission.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes all the difference. Thank you to everyone who can offer their support.
