Hi there! My name is Nils and thank you so much for taking the time to look at my JustGiving page!
I am taking on the 1 Million step challenge through Diabetes UK.
My wife has Type 1 Diabetes, and over the more than 9 years we have been together, I have seen first hand the daily challenges that come with managing this condition. From monitoring blood sugar levels to making constant adjustments throughout the day and night, living with T1 Diabetes requires dedication, resilience and strength.
This challenge is my way of showing support for her and everyone living with diabetes. While I cannot walk in her shoes, I can take these million steps to help raise awareness of the realities of living with this condition and hopefully encourage greater understanding and support for those affected.
Every step is for a great cause, and I am more than grateful for any support along the way.
